Immediate plumbing service needed in Cremorne
It was the Friday evening before Annie’s big bash. She had been planning this event for a while now and she wanted everything to go off exactly as she had planned. There was to be some entertainment by the children for all the mothers. Food would be served throughout the evening. She had prepared the menu herself. She knew what most of her friends liked and she wanted to give them what they wanted.
This afternoon, she had received a bunch of flowers that she intended to put in the vases. Just as she had finished arranging the flowers in the vases, she heard a loud crash from above. Something had fallen in the bedroom or bathroom above.
Leaving the flowers, Annie rushed to the bedroom above, hoping that nobody was hurt. When she reached the bedroom, she saw her husband, Tom, standing in the bathroom with what looked like the handle of the flush!
“What happened here?” Annie asked, almost afraid to come in.
“I was just trying to open the glass pane when I lost my balance and sort of slipped down. I crashed against the wall and I must have grabbed the handle of the flush and broken it,” he murmured.
Annie would have laughed if it hadn’t been for the party.
“Gosh, Tom. Do you know what that means? Tomorrow is the party and what are we going to do about THIS?” She asked, her voice rising in panic.
Tom knew she was right. Without the flush handle, they couldn’t use the toilet!
“Who is going to repair this by tomorrow afternoon, Tom? The party is ruined,” Annie sobbed and ran out of the bathroom.
Tom felt rotten. He had to do something. Annie had been planning and dreaming about this party for far too long. He just couldn’t ruin it.
He immediately got on the phone and began dialling numbers. Since it was Friday evening, he couldn’t catch many plumbers. Even the couple of emergency plumbers he talked to said that they could at best come on Monday. That would be too late!
About to give up, Tom called another number of an emergency plumber from the Yellow Pages. A voice answered the phone promptly. Tom explained the emergency plumbing situation without much hope. But, he was astonished when the plumbing service offered to come by in two hours and fix the emergency plumbing problem. Tom was overjoyed. Now he only hoped the plumbers would keep their word.
As promised, the emergency plumber arrived in two hours’ time to look at the emergency plumbing problem. As per Tom’s instructions, they had brought the necessary supplies. The plumber got to work straight away and was done with the repair in less than half an hour!
Tom was thoroughly impressed with the emergency plumber’s service. If it had not been for them, he would have been feeling like a heel for breaking Annie’s heart.
